I have very vivid memories of my time at Little Shepherd – music, friends, play, stories, art. I remember starting school with a bit of trepidation, and I was hesitant to play with other children (perhaps being a little stubborn too!). I can see now that Little Shepherd provided a solid foundation for my school years, not just academically, but socially as well. Yes I learned how to count and draw and sing and read – but I also made many friends and learned how to have lots of fun in a classroom environment.
Years later, when I made another new classroom transition to middle school, I was somewhat nervous because my elementary school friends and I were assigned completely different schedules. To my relief, when I walked into my first class, I recognized about four of my classmates from Little Shepherd ten years earlier! Little Shepherd’s network of friends and family extends far beyond its walls, and I truly think it is a place where a great sense of community is fostered. I am proud to have a Wooly Lamb.
